I would like to introduce you to Hajime Wilds.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Taki, Izumo as a child, Hajime grew up as the rest of the country boys in the Tagi, Taki area.
However, watching his father working for himself as a sculptor and his mother work as a child`s book illustrator helped him decide that he too did not want to work for others but for himself, he just wasn`t sure what that would be.
Then in jr high school he realized that working with wood was something he enjoyed and he was good at doing.
After studying furniture design at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, USA he found himself back in Taki and able to start his own shop.
First designing and making furniture pieces as seen in the pictures he has grown to designing and building rooms along with restoration of traditional Japanese homes.
He is currently studying architecture in hopes of designing even more.
